5-String double bass

This 3/4 double bass is built completely out of solid wood and is manufactured in Europe. It features a fingerboard made from blackwood, which in terms of sound behaviour, visual appearance and playing feel is a suitable alternative (equal) to ebony.

The blackwood used in the making of this instrument has been harvested from plantation pinewood (Pinus radiata), and has been used here to support the preservation of natural ebony resources and to protect rainforests.

All our acoustic double basses are individually set and adjusted in our workshop in accordance to your desired playing situation and style (jazz, classical, rockabilly....).
