They are quite soft but at the same time less stretchable, so they are easier to bring to the desired note and even when new, they keep the intonation in check. In addition, Super Nylgut is stronger and is therefore less sensitive to any sharp corners of the nut, it dents less against the frets or when played with the fingernails.
