This is a Gregoire Maret signature model with wooden cover specification.

It features a more mellow and dark tone. Walnut is used for the cover, finished in a calm design with a sense of quality. And the volume and shape are decided for the purpose of easy to play, easy to fit in hand, also to have a more dark tone, and to have sufficient strength. It is the world's first mass-production model using wooden cover for chromatic harmonica.

History of developing Gregoire Maret model
Gregoire Maret signature model is born.

The sticking to the sound consistently requested by Mr. Gregoire, it is "dark sound (deep sound)".

Mr. Gregoire made numerous suggestions such as two different covers that segmentalize the tone, materials, colors, and alignment. Those were feed back to the product. Here G-48, G-48W are born.

Chromatic harmonica is a harmonica active in various fields such as classical music, jazz, and pops.

The notes arrangement in diatonic scale of C can be replaced with the scale of C#, which is almost a semitone above by pushing slide lever. In the normal state, the white key of piano is produced, and when lever is pressed, the tone of the black key of piano is sounded with semitone above.

 

 

The Gregore series is a long stroke!
There are two types of slide action in chromatic harmonica and most suitable one is adopted for each models.

Long stroke is adopted for Gregoire series. The larger the moving distance of slide is, the larger hole to bring air is, so more breath can be sent to reeds. The sound response is good and particularly powerful sound can be obtained in the low tones.
